A Moose Jaw native, who was nominated for a Grammy award, said although he did not win, he is determined to try again.
Tyler Weiss, 30, who grew up in the Friendly City, and his company Goldtooth Creative, based in Vancouver, were nominated for Best Recording Package at the 52nd annual Grammy awards in Los Angeles.
Weiss explained the nomination was for his company’s work on the album cover for the band Splitting Adam.
The award instead went to David Byrne and Brian Eno for the album ‘Everything That Happens will Happen Today’.
Weiss, who attended Peacock Collegiate, said he did not have much time to think about the Grammy awards.
“We settled down at the Grammys for 15 minutes and then Mick Fleetwood was announcing it. At that moment I got nervous.
“Then we lost and then it was ‘let’s get some food and a drink’.
