A festival showcasing films about people with disabilities and films made by people with disabilities took place in Moose Jaw.
The Picture This Film Festival...on the road in Moose Jaw tookplace at the Museum & Art Gallery theatre on Feb. 16 and 18.
The event was organized by Janet Pringle and sponsored by the cultural committee for the Saskatchewan Winter Games.
Pringle used to volunteer with the Picture This Film Festival in Calgary and she was able to order films shown over the years during that event.
“All the films are either about people with disabilities or made by people with disabilities on any theme,” she said.
“One film called Carts of Darkness is about people in Vancouver on the edges of society and they get their excitement from racing shopping carts down steep hills and the film was made by a man who is paraplegic,” she said.
