Before the Doodlebops performed in Moose Jaw on Thursday, March 11, Deedee Doodle promised that children and their parents were going to see “the coolest show ever.”

“We have four giant screens behind us. The show is super colourful,” said Deedee.

“We’re going to play everyone’s favourite Doodlebops songs — people are going to be dancing the whole time.”

Deedee and her two brothers, Rooney and Moe Doodle, are the three members of the Doodlebops band.

Currently, they are also the stars of an animated TV show on CBC called the Doodlebops Rockin’ Road Show. Previously they starred in a live action show called The Doodlebops.

Deedee admits that it’s “pretty awesome” and a “lot of fun” to be in a band and in a TV show.

The new animated show is made in two steps, said Deedee.

“The three of us sing and dance, and we are filmed as we do. Then these films are sent to the animators who draw us for the cartoon,” explained Deedee.
