Youngsters are learning about different cultures from around the world at the YMCA’s first summer camp of the year in Moose Jaw.
The children are split into different age groups to learn about music, food, culture and the environment in a variety of countries.
Janelle Law, senior camp counsellor, looks after the nine to 11 year olds.
“We are learning about different cultures by doing crafts, cooking and playing games.”
On Tuesday the children explored Pakistan and Japan.
“We played a Pakistani game called Ounch and Neech and we made Japanese fans.
“On Monday we looked at China and Africa. We played an African game and we cooked a stir fry and meat recipe,” she said.
The children will also be looking at Greece, the USA, Italy and France.
