More volunteers are needed to help with the Saskatchewan Festival of Words which runs from July 15 to 18.
The 14th annual festival will see many authors descend on the city as well as a host of workshops and literary events for people to enjoy.
Donna Lee Howe, festival executive director, said it happened to be a year when a lot of previous volunteers are busy with other summer events.
“We need more people to step forward,” she said.
People are needed to help with all sorts of things from decorating to raffle tickets to membership sales.
“We would love people to come forward as soon as possible,” she said.
Lori Lancaster has volunteered for the festival for about 10 years helping out with the nutrition breaks when food is put out for festival goers in the morning and afternoon at the Moose Museum and Art Gallery.
“I just love the festival,” she said. “I think it’s wonderful and I just love being a part of it.
