Artistic students are encouraged to get their application forms in for the second annual Larry Wilson Scholarship Program.
The scholarships are part of a legacy provided by Larry Wilson, a former Moose Jaw publisher and actor.
The seven awards are named after members of the Wilson family and are worth a combined total of about $16,000.
Last year eight scholarships were awarded as the Lawrence Wilson Literary Scholarship was shared.
Regina Sagal-Hendry, chairwoman of Arts in Motion, said any student aged between 17 and 25 years old who is furthering their education in the arts can apply.
They have to be attending a recognized school or college and the money goes towards their tuition.
“It is the second year it has been going,” she said. “The aim is to support students in Moose Jaw and surrounding area that are studying in the arts.
“It was what Larry Wilson wanted to do and his family was involved in the arts. When he died, he left money to go towards students in the arts.”
This year’s scholarship winners will be announced in September so the money is available to pay for tuition.
The deadline to apply is July 31 and application forms are available at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre box office.
