Three Moose Jaw artists will feature their work in a new exhibition in Regina, which celebrates the talent among emerging artists in Saskatchewan.
The Mind the Gap! exhibition opens at the Central and Sherwood Village galleries on Friday and runs until January 3.
It will showcase visual art by 30 artists from 14 cities and towns across the province, including Mark Lowe, Robert Froese and Gabriela Garcia-Luna- all with connections to Moose Jaw.
The exhibition’s co–curators Amanda Cachia and Jeff Nye travelled to meet 70 artists from more than 20 communities to capture a snapshot of what the province has to offer.
Moose Jaw ceramic artist Robert Froese, 46, created his exhibition pieces during the Emma Lake Artist’s Residency Program 2008 at the University of Saskatchewan.
“I’m showing a collection of objects made in clay and there are 16 of them from a collection of a larger group I made,” he said.
