Matt Dusk’s new album, Good News, is an international effort.
Not only is it comprised of versions of songs that were hits from countries around the world, he also flew to different countries to collaborate on songwriting.
The title track for example, Good News, is a version of a song that was a huge hit in Denmark a few years ago.
“That’s what I wanted to do with this album — record some great hit songs from around the world that may never have been heard outside of the artist’s home country,” said Dusk, who performs in Moose Jaw on Sunday.
Using the Internet, Dusk researched songs for Good News. When he came across a song he liked, he asked the song’s producers or writers to pitch him all their material.
