John McDermott, a Canadian tenor, performed in Moose Jaw on Dec. 10.

    He presented a Christmas-themed show including songs such as I’ll Be Home for Christmas, O Holy Night, Old Tin Star and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.

    At the show, McDermott’s latest CD, Journeys, was sold. All proceeds from the CD’s sales go to Canada Company: Many Ways to Serve, a charity that supports men and women in the Canadian Forces.

    McDermott, a former member of the Irish Tenors, was joined at the show by Russell De Carle, lead singer of Prairie Oyster. De Carle performed songs from his latest solo CD and joined McDermott for a couple of songs.
