Singer-songwriter Jay Aymar will be performing country and folk music in Moose Jaw on Monday.
His latest album ‘Halfway Home’ features the track ‘My Cherry Coloured Rose,’ which was recently covered by Ian Tyson.
Aymar, who lives in Toronto, is touring across Northern Ontario and out west to the Prairies
In a press release, Aymar said he was looking forward to the tour.
“It’s lonely out there sometimes but you meet wonderful people, and there’s a welcome and appreciative audiences almost everywhere you go.
“And a cool summer beer in rural Saskatchewan is a reward in itself.”
He has 34 dates booked in clubs, pubs and coffee houses from Thunder Bay to Calgary and back to Toronto.
“I call this my Halfway Home Tour, but I’m beginning to discover that my home — such as it is — is my car and the places I play and the people I meet,” he said.
He will be playing at Java Express at 7 p.m.
