A celebration of 30 years of musical touring group Saskatchewan Express will take place at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre on July 30.
The Saskatchewan Express 30 Rocks! Summer Tour will feature a show packed with a wide range of music and dance including a tribute to Michael Jackson as well as some old favourites from three decades of performing.
The tour features 12 youngsters aged 15 to 24 from across Saskatchewan.
They auditioned back in January and have been busy rehearsing every weekend since March.
Liliany Emmons, 17, from La Fleche, just south of Moose Jaw, said she was thrilled when she heard she had been chosen to perform in her second summer tour.
“It felt amazing. I was jumping up and down and it was just crazy,” she said.
Emmons, who is going into grade 12 in September, said rehearsals have been going well but they are a lot of hard work.
