Beatlemania is coming to town.
No matter which band member got your heart beating most, you’ll soon be able to scream their name just like the fans in the 1960s.
Beatlemania on Tour will come to the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre on Sep. 21.
The show takes the audience through the historical journey of one of the most successful bands in music history.
It begins back in 1961 in Hamburg, Germany, when the Beatles were playing covers of American rock and roll songs before they rose to the top.
“We take the audience through their career and the Beatlemania which ensued for a decade long journey,” said Chris Frazer, who plays the role of John Lennon in the production.
“We take the band through the iconic venues such as the Star Club in Hamburg, the Cavern in Liverpool and then they branched out and did a tour with other acts at that time through the UK and then everything exploded in 1964 with the Ed Sullivan Show.”
To make the show authentic, Frazer and his other band mates Scott MacFarlane (Paul McCartney), Paul Green (George Harrison) and Michael Brady (Ringo Starr and Pete Best) even put on Liverpudlian accents and MacFarlane changed from a right hand bass player to a left hand player like McCartney.
