The Moose Jaw Humane Society is at it once again, trying to raise money for some of Moose Jaw's most precious residents.
Only this time it has added a partner, who may have people doing things they wouldn't normally do.
On June 12, Moose Javians are invited to the Mae Wilson Theatre for a night of hypnotic fun, said Christie Saas, promotions and fundraising co-ordinator for the Moose Jaw Humane Society.
Comedian/hypnotist Sebastian Steel will be taking the stage at 7:30 p.m.
Saas thinks the show will consist of Steel taking volunteers from the audience, placing them in everyday situations and then adding a bit of a twist for the audience's amusement.
However, Saas warns the show is designed for an older audience and unlike many of the events hosted by the humane society, it may not be suitable for the entire family.
Saas said it is a great event for those looking to share a fun night out with their spouse, friends or colleagues.
"If a staff manager wants to take his or her staff out for a staff appreciation night or a group of workers want to get together for a fun night on the town, this is the perfect event. Not only is it giving people an excuse for a night out, but every dollar spent is going towards helping the animals at the shelter."
Saas said due to the added effort the shelter has been putting into making sure each of its animals receives the best possible care it both needs and deserves, the shelter must also do its best to raise the money needed for that care.
"These past few years have been amazing. The people of Moose Jaw have been so generous and supportive and we just want to keep that going."
Tickets for the show are $20 and can be purchased at the humane society during regular office hours or at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre box office.
"We would really love to sell out and raise as much as we can for the shelter. After all that is what it's all about."
