Moose Jaw will take on an air of literary importance this weekend as dozens of Canadian authors - of significant note - will spend the weekend reading from their works and talking to fans about writing.
Saskatchewan Festival of Words begins today and wraps up Sunday. Published authors, poets, playwrights and columnists will perhaps share their secrets for writer's block, tell aspiring writers how to get started and have publishing tips for those with manuscripts in hand.
It's the kind of festival many other cities would probably love to host. But this is the 13th annual one held in Moose Jaw and it has developed a good reputation among Canadian writers.
There are many sessions scheduled, all in the downtown area. This is a uniquely Moose Jaw experience and locals should take advantage of it.
