At age 27, former Moose Javian Patrick Swan looks like a rather quiet individual.
Wearing jeans, a thin brown moustache and a reserved expression on his face, he made his way up to the podium set up in the Moose Jaw Public Library as part of the Saskatchewan Festival of Words on Friday.
In a rather courteous manner, he addressed the small audience.
"Just to let you know, some of you might find some of the things I have to say slightly offensive."
In an instant, his brow clenches, his arms start flaring in all directions and he starts shouting out angry and intense poetry, talking about sex, popular culture and society - all the while without fear of dropping the occasional, well-placed F-bomb.
