This weekend is Connect, which is Saskatchewan's annual electronic and tribal music festival. The event is located on a secluded hillside west of Moose Jaw.
Aside from a concert, this is also a camp out opportunity.
The Connect festival showcases international talent and urban culture in the setting of rural southern Saskatchewan.
To find the festival, drive along the Trans Canada Highway to Caronport. About eight kilometres west of the town, turn left on the road to Besant Campground, where the event takes place.
Tickets for the festival are available online via the Connect website and cost $93.50 for a weekend pass. Tickets purchased can be picked up at the festival front gate.
Tickets at the gate cost $100 for the weekend and $50 tickets for Sunday only, which are also available at the gate.
Artists performing on the main stage include Atlanta-based artists Evol Intent, Toronto's Vitamins for You, Simply Jeff from Huntington Beach, California and Mr. Sofalumpkins and Dr. Funkinchunkin from Edmonton and Victoria. In total, there are 46 djs performing, including several from Saskatchewan.
Aside from the main stage, there is a second "chill" stage, a creativity temple, various food and drink vendors, a swimming area, workshops, contests, dancing and various other activities.
