It is the final countdown for the ladies taking part in the Cause for a Walk this weekend.
The 60 mile (97 km) walk is to raise $100,000 for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, which will help with the purchase of an (operating room) surgical bed for the women's ward at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital.
As of Monday afternoon, Diane Therrien, the walk's organizer, said the total amount raised was sitting at $94,000.
"We are about $6,000 away from our goal . . . but I am very confident we will reach it."
Therrien said the support shown by the people and local businesses around the city has been amazing, adding it is that type of support that makes events like the Cause for a Walk possible.
One of the fundraiser's major sponsors, Silver Star Salvage has been collecting donations in scrap metal.
