It's was all about the sound of music last week in Moose Jaw.
On Tuesday, April 20, nine bands took the stage at Peacock Collegiate's Centennial Auditorium to kick off the second part of the 2010 Moose Jaw Music Festival.
The annual event featured five days of music, both instrumental and vocal. The festival began with the choral portion last month.
One of the first bands to take the stage Tuesday afternoon was the Moose Jaw Holy Trinity Grade 6 band, conducted by Jim Mitchell.
After playing two pieces, Anasazi by John Edmonson and Westwind Overture by Anne McGinty, long-time adjudicator Gene Auglinger walked the band through the pieces and gave it advice, critiques and positive feedback.
