Not only will the Saskatchewan Festival of Words bring many renowned authors to Moose Jaw but budding writers will also get their chance to shine.
The 14th annual festival, which runs from July 15 to 18, will host a series of workshops for people to improve their own writing skills.
Kids Ink, a creative writing workshop for youngsters aged 10 to 13, will take place on July 15 at the Moose Jaw Public Library from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The class will be taught by Rhea Tregebov, a professor at the University of British Columbia and costs $10.
A narrative workshop for non beginners will be held at the library from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. with instructor Jack Hodgins. The class is already full.
For keen readers, the Great Big Book Club will take place at the library on July 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $25.
Helen Humphreys will be discussing her book Coventry and the event will be moderated by Martha Tracey.
