The Moose Jaw Warriors are guaranteed fifth place in the Eastern Conference and a Medicine Hat win in Lethbridge and a Kootenay loss in Spokane would all but assure Medicine Hat third place and set-up a Kootenay-Moose Jaw first round series. Currently Kootenay is four points behind Medicine Hat with four games to play. Kootenay should own the first tiebreaker (most wins) if the teams finish the season tied on points.

The Warriors annual Player’s Banquet will be held Sunday Mar. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Heritage Inn. Tickets are $25 for non-season ticket holders and $20 for season ticket holders. Tickets are only available prior to the event.

Playoff ticket vouchers are in the mail and must be redeemed by Thursday. Playoff tickets will be released to the general public Friday, Mar. 18 at 9 a.m. Since Brandon and Kootenay were scheduled to play a traditional 2-2-1-1-1 playoff format, it seems likely the Warriors will host Games 3, 4 and 6 no matter who their playoff opponent — that being in spite of the 860 km between Cranbrook and Moose Jaw. Nothing has been decided, but look for Games 1 and 2 to be on the Friday and Saturday — March 25 and 26, with Games 3 and 4 in Moose Jaw to be March 29 and 30 — the Tuesday and Wednesday.
