Game 3 pre-game notes

Moose Jaw-Calgary series notebook

The Warriors are encouraging fans to dress in costume, wear face paint, bring signs and noise makers. Doing so could win a lucky fan a brand new lap top or an ipod touch on Monday and Tuesday night.

It’s a great promotion from the Warriors and you would expect the Civic Centre crowd to be amped even without great prizes on the line.

There are apparently tickets still available just over an hour before puck drop. A sellout is expected, but the Civic Centre isn't quite full yet.

The Warriors are also asking fans to be in their seats by 6:50 p.m. for a pre-game presentation. The lights will go out and fans will have to wait on the concourse.

Also Shaw is giving away white 2010 playoff t-shirts to the first 1,000 fans through the door at the Civic Centre.

In Calgary the Hitmen gave away masks of their logo for kids to wear and they also had face painting stations where they would paint the Hitmen logo on kid’s faces.

The referees will be Brett Montsion and Graham Skilliter. The linesmen are Sean Dufour and Todd Doepker. The video goal judge is Todd Sharpe.

The starting goalies are Jeff Bosch for Moose Jaw and Martin Jones for Calgary.

The Game 3 scratches are: Moose Jaw — D Dallas Ehrhardt, RW Jakub Herman, LW Quinton Howden and LW Joey Kornelsen.

Calgary — D Peter Kesterman, D Carter Berg, D Jaynen Rissling, F Justin Kirsch and F Rigby Burgart.

So there are no changes from either side since Game 2.

Notes: the Hitmen came back from a 2-0 series hole once before. They lost the first two games in 2007 against Brandon before winning four straight games. The Hitmen have four players (Michael Stone, Bradon Kozun, Ian Schultz and Martin Jones) left from that comeback. . .  Moose Jaw has yet to trail in the series . . . the Hitmen have out-shot the Warriors in five of the six periods. The only period where the Warriors out-shot the Hitmen was the first period of Game 2 where the Warriors took a 3-0 lead.
