[Professional Blog] Game 3 advance

March 27, 2012

Warriors defenceman Travis Brown did not take part in the pre-game skate Tuesday which is unusual. Brown is scratched for Game 3 making it reasonable to assume that decision is based on illness or injury.

Andrew Johnson takes Cody Beach's spot on the third line for the Warriors. Otherwise the lines are essentially the same, but Torrin White, Carter Hansen and Brayden Point may be spotted in on other lines more than they actually play as a three-man unit.

The Pats have moved Chandler Stephenson back up on the first line with Jordan Weal and Lane Scheidl. The player who fit into that spot, Andrew Rieder, moved back to playing with Matt Marantz and Luke Fenske.

Dominik Volek is back in the line-up and he will centre Morgan Klimchuk and Dyson Stevenson for could be an important second line for the Pats.

Lots of white pom-poms and fuzzy blue and red "troll doll" hats in the stands as they open the doors at Brandt Centre.

The media demand for this series in Regina is so high that they have added extra media spots along the concourse as they did for the World Junior Hockey Championships at the Brandt Centre.

In the open area of the press box there are typically four or five people occupying the space. I'm told there will be nine people up here tonight for Game 3.
