[Professional Blog] Warriors prospect Vigier dies

Incredibly sad news from last week, Mathieu Vigier — the Warriors fourth round pick in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft — died after being involved in a car accident. Vigier was 15 years old and was from in Notre Dame de Lourdes, Man. Vigier had an outstanding first Warriors camp and played in the Fleury Cup Black-White Game.Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Notre Dame Arena.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations in memory of Mathieu’s love of the game of hockey to his second home, the Notre Dame Arena, Box 336, Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB R0G 1M0.
