“You know what? You just sink your passion into everything you do and that’s how you create magic.”
That was the sentiment of Vibe Graphics Lana Lalonde as she accepted the New Business Venture Award during Wednesday’s Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence (MJBEX) Awards at the Heritage Inn.
“The bottom line — you have to love what you do,” she told a ballroom filled with 350 applauding people.
Lalonde was just one of 11 winners at the annual business award banquet.
Darin Chow — lawyer, businessman, Warriors governor and former city councillor. And as of Wednesday, he is also the Friendly City’s first winner of the Business Leader of the Year Award, which is new to MJBEX.
“It is a tremendous honour. Thank you very much,” Chow said.
Chow (of Chow McLeod, Barristers and Solicitors) received the award for exemplifying the qualities of a business visionary, according to the prerequisites for the award.
According to the former city councillor, his success in business and with his many community endeavours is due extensively to his hardworking staff, as well as his supportive family.
