Old Wives 4-H Club met May 1 at the Rosso farm when members discussed the upcoming responsibilities for the month.
Some of the members helped with sorting and distribution of PFRA trees May 13-14. Also there was a reminder to the members to finish their monthly report for the club reporter book.
Weigh-out of the sheep and beef will be on Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Rosso farm.
After the general meeting, members divided into their project groups. The Cloverbuds learned to tell directions with a scavenger hunt around the farm. They also looked at their record books and did a review.
The sheep members did a review test.
Brian Barnett came to help out the beef members and gave them some pointers on showmanship.
The woodworking member worked on his record book.
Photography members picked out mistakes in pictures they had taken. They worked on the covers of their record books and made plans for achievement day.
The last meeting for this year will be held May 29 at the Rosso farm. The members will be tested on their knowledge of the year on their projects and general information of 4-H.
They will also hand in their project handbooks which will be judged and then displayed at achievement day.
Achievement day will be held June 6 at the Rosso farm. Festivities begin at 1p.m.
Members are to be ready with their displays set up by 10:30 a.m. Spectators are welcome.
