On July 28th, the Moose Jaw Miller Express will have three outs to try to salvage something from Monday's Western Major Baseball League game.
The Express were trailing the Swift Current Indians 5-4 at the start of the top of the ninth inning when the game was suspended. While it was raining cats and dogs in the Friendly City, it was darkness and not rain, that halted proceedings in Swift Current.
"The storm knocked the lights out and the whole grid on that side of Swift Current was without power, so it got too dark," said Express coach Michael Hunt. "Because it was a power failure, the game wasn't called, it was suspended."
