Although there are local companies available for roofing and shingling contract work, finding one that is a long-time established Moose Jaw company might be more challenging.
Justin Fall, owner of Advanced Roofing, said his company is essentially booked for the rest of 2009, although he will try to work in new jobs if possible.
Fall said his company is still working on roofing contracts from the large hailstorm that swept through the Moose Jaw area in July 2007 (as well as a few from another hailstorm last summer).
He said Advanced Roofing is on track to be caught up with its workload by next year.
Moose Jaw Construction Association board member Brad Duncan, owner of Duncan Roofing, told the Times-Herald if local residents want to use his company's services, they would be wise to make arrangements at least a couple months in advance of the desired job completion date.
He said his company is booked fairly solid, working with new construction projects (commercial and residential) underway in Saskatchewan.
As well, his company is also still doing shingle jobs left over from hailstorms from previous years.
According to Fall, the availability of local roofing and shingling contractors is fairly limited, assuming homeowners are in the market for experienced workers from long-time local companies. He said the last couple of years have seen many older roofers retiring and a lot of younger roofers entering the industry.
In fact, Fall said he will hire roofers from Edmonton and Calgary to work on his various local contracts, just because the local pool of experienced roofers is currently so limited.
Duncan said roofing contractors from other provinces, such as Alberta and B.C., are coming to Moose Jaw to offer services because, while construction rates are cooling off in those regions, Saskatchewan is still in a boom.
However, he said experienced and trustworthy local roofing companies remain in high demand, because their services come with a certain guarantee based on familiarity.

I think roofing contractors calgary had their hands pretty full. My friend had to get his roof replaced and called them. He said they did a really good job even being busy.

Do you think that this would apply to roofing contractors edmonton? It has been a pretty rough year for just about everyone's roofs. In fact, my neighbors got it so bad that they redid their roof twice just this summer! I guess it is great for roofers!
