Moose Jaw - Expect gas prices to rise and keep rising into the summer.
Moose Jaw's gas prices have held steady at 73.9 cents per litre for the past week but after other cities saw a jump earlier in the week, prices in the Friendly City went up 10 cents per litre at some stations between Wednesday night and this morning.
Cities across Canada have experienced a jump in prices over the past week. Monday night, gas prices in Regina sat at 73.9 cents per litre but by Tuesday they rose to 83.9 cents per litre.
Jason Toews, co-founder of www.gasbuddy.com, a website that allows people to post prices of gas in their area, said one of the factors in the price of gasoline is the price of oil.
A barrel of oil rose to $52 on Wednesday, up from the low of $32 in December. The price of oil is being driven in part by OPEC's production cuts in October and December, totalling 3.3 million barrels of oil per day.
Exploration and processing has slowed down in the Alberta tarsands because the price of oil is too low to support production. Some fields are shutting down.

Has nothing to do with the price of gas. On the day Premier Brad Wall announced tax breaks, the cost of gas went up.

How is this even right? the price of oil had it's biggest one day drop in 7 years and the price of gas jumps 10 cents a litre. This is crap and some newspaper should get to the bottom of it all.
