Drivers who are issued "continuous" stickers through SGI's AutoPay program must complete the registration eligibility declaration by their anniversary date or risk the cancellation of their coverage. The declaration proves drivers are eligible for registration in Saskatchewan and ensures they continue to be eligible for registration in the province.
"This helps ensure only eligible vehicle owners are insured through SGI and that all customers have accurate registration in the correct rate class," said Cari Donaldson, assistant vice-president of the Auto Fund, in a media release.
Failure to complete the declaration puts insurance coverage at risk of cancellation. Customers are asked to read their SGI mail and check their registration certificates to ensure their coverage is up to date.
There are several ways the registration eligibility declaration can be completed.
Customers can visit any motor-licence issuer to sign the declaration in person, return the completed declaration that was mailed to them with the eligibility reminder or do it from home by using MySGI.
MySGI can be accessed online through any SGI motor-licence issuer's website or through the Online Services link at www.sgi.sk.ca.
