So far, so good for gas supplies in Moose Jaw

Unlike Regina, Moose Jaw's service stations were not among those affected by the temporary fuel shortage hitting many gas stations across the western provinces.
However, Petro-Canada's spokeswoman Sneh Seetal said that doesn't mean the possibility isn't there.
She said because the shortage situation isn't static, it is hard to foresee which stations could be affected down the line.
"We (are continuing) to deliver product to our customers and sites. So, the temporary run-outs that some gas stations might experience will rotate depending on how much (each) site has at any given time."
In the case a station runs out of gas, Seetal said it is the gas company's main focus to refill those sites as soon as possible.
"If a temporary run-out does occur in your neighbourhood, that would definitely be a site that would be dealt with as soon as possible."
In regards to a remedy, Seetal said Petro-Canada is doing a number of things to alleviate the situation, such as bringing fuel in from outside the region.
According to Seetal the fuel shortage is the result of a severe storm that hit Edmonton in mid-July.
Although the refineries are up and running, it will take some time for the delivery side of things to get back up to where it should be.
"We are somewhat logistically constrained. What that means is there are only so many trucks we can put on the road and rail cars we can put on the track in terms of delivery."
She noted that Petro-Canada has upped the amount of trucks currently delivering product. However, she said at this time the situation has moved from a production problem to an inventory delivery problem and although the company is working hard to rectify the situation, it is going to take some time.
Seetal said there are only a handful of sites affected by the shortage in Saskatchewan.
She said the majority of gas stations coming up dry are in Alberta.
Seetal also added the fuel shortage situation is not one solely facing Petro-Canada. She said it has affected a number of companies in the industry.
No other representatives for local gas stations was available at press time.

SuperStore is still a little cheaper. 99.9 less the 7.5 cents you get back in SuperBucks. Is 92.4 per Litre.

We bought electric bikes this Spring, working like a charm and our gas expense has been zero so far.

It is very satisfying to drive past the gas station knowing they are not getting a dime out of us, well not until Winter anyways.

    Where is my electric car?

With Safeway having the highest price gas in the province, I can`t see them running out!

I can`t believe people are still buying gas there.

We buy gas at Safeway, because we get a gas discount when we shop at Safeway,
Currently I receive 10.5 cents off per litre, so that is why we are still filling up!!
