Michael (The Count) Bisping's reward for beating Canadian Denis Kang is a date with Wanderlei (The Axe Murderer) Silva.
A source told The Canadian Press that England's Bisping will face the Brazilian veteran at UFC 110 in Sydney, Australia, in February in the UFC's first card Down Under.
The Bisping-Silva matchup was originally considered for UFC 105 but did not come through because Silva has recently undergone facial surgery.
The 30-year-old Bisping (19-2 including 8-2 in the UFC) stopped Kang in the second round at UFC 105 on Nov. 14 in Manchester, England, successfully bouncing back from a brutal knockout at the hands of Dan Henderson at UFC 100 in July.
Silva (32-10-1, with one no contest) is coming off a loss by decision to Rich Franklin at UFC 99 in June in Germany. That fight was contested at a catchweight of 195 pounds since Silva was in the process of moving from light-heavyweight (205 pounds) to middleweight (185).
The 33-year-old former Pride middleweight champion, who now makes his home in Las Vegas, is 1-3 since returning to the UFC from Japan. He stopped Keith (The Dean of Mean) Jardine but was beaten by Chuck (The Iceman) Liddell, Quinton (Rampage) Jackson and Franklin - all three former UFC champions.
