KELOWNA, B.C. - Brandon McMillan's power-play goal midway through the second period stood as the game-winner, leading the Western Hockey League all-stars to a 4-2 win over a team of Russian Selects on Thursday.
The victory gives the Canadian junior all-stars a six-game sweep of their Russian counterparts in the annual Super Series.
Stefan Elliott, Linden Vey and Willie Coetzee also scored for the WHL, which also beat Russia 2-1 in Victoria on Wednesday night.
Maxim Gorechishnikov and Maxim Kitsyn countered for the Russians, who lost twice to a team of QMJHL all-stars to open the series before dropping a pair of games to the OHL.
The Russians have lost 12 of their last 13 games in the Super Series dating back to 2007, and are now 6-36 all-time.
