A fowl supper will be sponsored Oct. 28 by Holy Trinity Orthodox Church and held in the Kubiak Hall at 846 Grandview St. W. Meals will be served between 5 and 6 p.m.
The supper is a fundraiser for the church's recently initiated capital campaign for church beautification. Theme of the fundraiser is beauty will save the world, based on a qoute from Russian author Dostoyevsky who was referring to the beauty and truth of God.
The beauty is also reflected in the beauty of the church with its services, art and its building.
The beautification efforts will include refurbishing the long-carpeted hardwood floors, painting the interior walls and installing new icons (images of Christ and the saints) throughout the church.

Breastfeeding challenge
To encourage and support breastfeeding, the annual breastfeeding challenge will be held Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Moose Jaw Family YMCA.
The latch-on of babies and mothers will begin at 11 a.m., in Moose Jaw and in other sites across Canada, the United States and other countries. This will be a competition to see which area will set the record for most babies breastfeeding at one time, based on a percentage of the birth rate.
The local event is sponsored by the Five Hills Health Region. Guest speaker will be Della Ferguson. The goal of the event is to encourage more breastfeeding in the health region.
Breastfeeding Week will be celebrated Oct. 1-7 on the theme, breastfeeding first - breastfeeding within one hour of birth. The theme promotes the idea that initiation of breastfeeding within the first hour after birth is the most vital step towards reducing infant and under-five mortality.
