Monday
• The Royal Canadian Air Force Band ‘Jet Stream,’ will have their annual Christmas concert at 7 p.m. at the Mae Wilson Theatre.

All proceeds will benefit the 15 Wing Military Family Resource Centre/Personnel Support Program Youth and Teen Centre. Tickets are $11.50 and are available at the Mae Wilson Theatre Box Office or online at www.moosejawculture.com.

Tuesday

• Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre will hold Cosmo Jam sessions, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Cost is $2.

• The Care for Caregivers Group will meet, 1:15-3 p.m. at Moose Jaw Family Services, 200 Main St. S. For more information call 306-694-8133.

• Writer’s Circle for youth aged 10 to 18 at the Moose Jaw Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Bring a piece of writing. No registration is required and admission is free.

• Regular public skating, 12-1 p.m. at the Kinsmen Arena and 7-8 p.m. at the Bert Hunt Arena. Cost is $2.30 for children aged three to 12, $2.70 for youth ages 13 to 17, $4.05 for adults over age 18 and $8.65 for families.

• The Nylons Christmas Show will be at the Mae Wilson Theatre at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 and are available at Casino Moose Jaw, 306-694-3726.

Thursday

• The Moose Jaw Crafter's Guild will be at the Town 'n' Country Mall during mall hours.

• The Moose Jaw Humane Society will be open at the Town ‘n’ Country Mall in the space beside St. John Ambulance. Humane society items and donated work to benefit the humane society will be at the shop. New this year is humane society Christmas ornaments. There will be a memorial Christmas tree with a $2 donation to hang a tag in the memory of a pet or family member.

• The Moose Jaw Art Guild annual exhibition will officially open at 7:30 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery. There will be unique tote bags designed by guild members available for purchase. Interested artists can display their work and interact with guild members on Dec. 8 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The exhibition runs until Jan. 5. For more information call 306-693-0872.

•  A Christmas Banquet will be held at Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre at 5:30 p.m. Tickets must be purchased by Nov. 30 and will not be sold at the door. Tickets are $15.

• Until March 15 there will be free public skating on Fridays at the Wally Boshuck Arena, 4:30-6:30 p.m.

• There will be free swims on Fridays at the Kinsmen Sportsplex. The family and lap swim will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., the public swim will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the teen swim for youth aged 12 to 18 will be from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The main pool is closed until further notice from the city, but the leisure pool, waterslide, hot tub and steam room are still open.

• Until Dec. 13, the city’s parks and recreation department has a free program, Friday Night Activity Club, for youth in Grades 6 to 12 on Friday evenings, 6:45-10:45 p.m. in the Riverview Collegiate gym and lobby, 650 Coteau St. W. Youth can do activities such as basketball, tossing a ball around, floor hockey, board games, listening to music, dodge ball, braiding friendship bracelets, drawing, playing Wii games and watching movies.

• The Lil Chicago Roller Derby League will have a day of fresh meat intake about the sport of roller derby from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the gymnasium at 15 Wing Moose Jaw. No skating experience is necessary.

• Third annual Peacock Collegiate Polar Bear Run will be at noon at the oval in Wakamow Valley. The five-kilometer walk/run will raise money for the Terry Fox Foundation. Hotdogs and hot chocolate will follow. Pledge forms are available at the school.

• Free clothing and small household items will be given away at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 409 Oxford St. W., 1:30-3 p.m. Use the south entrance.

• The Heritage Singers present a Christmas Concert Sunder at 2 p.m. at Central Lutheran Church, 27 Hochelaga St. W. Tickets are $6 and are available at the door.

• Regular public skating, 6:15-7:15 p.m. at the Kinsmen Sportsplex and 2:15-3:15 p.m. at Wally Boshuck Arena. The Kinsmen will have an adult-only skate, 7:30-8:30 p.m. Cost is $2.30 for children aged three to 12, $2.70 for youth ages 13 to 17, $4.05 for adults over age 18 and $8.65 for families.
