City of Moose Jaw

Bingo

The Church of Our Lady Community Centre will have bingo every Tuesday evening. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the bingo starts at 7 p.m.

Stamp Club

The Moose Jaw Stamp Club will meet on Jan. 8 and Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Lyndale School staffroom at 1322 11th Ave. N.W. Use the north entrance. Visitors are welcome. For more information, call 306-693-5705.

Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre

Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre will have mini canasta on Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. Cost is $45.

Mini bridge will be at the Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre on Jan. 17 with registration at 1:30 p.m. and the games at 1 p.m. Cost is $5.

Cosmo Dance with music by Len Gadica will be at the Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre on Jan. 18 from 8 p.m. to midnight. Cost is $12 including lunch.

Mini cribbage will be at Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre on Jan. 21 with registration at 12:30 p.m. and games beginning at 1 p.m. Cost is $5.

Military whist tournament will be on Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. at Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre. Cost is $10 including lunch.

Cosmo Jam Sessions will be every Tuesday at the Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre in January, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Cost is $2. The centre will also have billiards every Monday and Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Model Railroading 101

Model Railroading 101, the Thunder Creek Model Railroad Club’s introductory workshop to learn more about the hobby, will be on Jan. 18, Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Western Development Museum. During the workshops, individuals will build and add scenery to a 30 cm by 45 cm diorama to take home. Cost is $15. Anyone aged 12 to 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Moose Jaw Art Guild

The Moose Jaw Art Guild will have a potluck lunch on Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. followed by the annual general meeting at the Canadian Legion Hall, 268 High St. W. For more information, call 306-693-0872.

Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club

The Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will have their first dance of 2014 on Jan. 7. They will dance to CDs in the social hall of St. Andrew’s United Church, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

On Jan. 14, the Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will dance to CDs in the social hall of St. Andrew’s Church, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

On Jan. 21, the Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will have guest callers Valerie and Lane Wright in the social hall of St. Andrew’s Church, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Cost is $5 per person and lunch will be served after dancing.

On Jan. 28 and Feb. 4, the Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will dance to CDs in the social hall of St. Andrew’s Church, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

On Feb. 11, the Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will have a Valentine’s Day Dance with guest callers Lil and Doug Brinkman from Saskatoon in the social hall of St. Andrew’s Church, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Lunch will follow and cost is $5 per person.

On Feb. 18 and Feb. 25, the Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will dance to CDs in the social hall of St. Andrew’s Church, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

On March 4, the Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will have guest callers Dwayne and Donna Barber of Swift Current in the social hall of St. Andrew’s Church, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Lunch will follow and cost is $5 per person.

On March 11, the Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will dance in the social hall of St. Andrew’s Church, 7:30-9:30 p.m. The zone meeting will follow at 9:30 p.m.

On March 18, the Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will dance to CDs in the social hall of St. Andrew’s Church, 7:30-9:30 p.m. The annual general meeting will follow.

On March 25, the Buttons and Bows Square and Round Dance Club will have their windup dinner and dance in the social hall of St. Andrew’s Church. Dinner is at 6 p.m. The dance is $5 and the dinner tickets are $15. Everyone is invited. For more information or for tickets, call 306-692-7278.

Taoist Tai Chi

Taoist Tai Chi Moose Jaw branch will be at YaraCentre for Let’s Get Healthy Moose Jaw on Jan. 11. The demonstration will be at 9 a.m. and the booth will be operated from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for information and sign-up. There will also be a regular registration and demonstration on Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew’s social hall.

Understanding Arthritis

Understanding Arthritis, a telehealth session for individuals who have been diagnosed with one of the more than 100 types of arthritis or for those who think they have arthritis, will be on Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. It will be available at the following Five Hills Health Region (FHHR) telehealth sites: Moose Jaw, Assiniboia, Gravelbourg, Rockglen and Central Butte.  Pre-register by Jan. 10.
