What: Sugar Shack. It will include a traditional dinner, show, maple taffy tasting, learning about harvesting the sap and its transformation into different products, sale of maple products and other activities.

When: Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for teens, $5 for teens aged six to 12 and ages five and under are free.

What: Free swims

Where: Kinsmen Sportsplex.

When: Family and lap swim 6-7 p.m.; public swim, 7-9 p.m.; teen swim for youth aged 12 to 18, 9-11:30 p.m.

Saturday

What: Moose Jaw Thunder Creek Model Railroad Club annual Model Train Show

Where: Western Development Museum

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What: Bridge tournament

Where: Moose Jaw and District Seniors

When: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $12.50 per person including muffins in the morning and a hot lunch. For more information, call 306-694-4223.

What: Military whist

Where: Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre

When: 10 a.m. Cost is $10 including lunch.

What: The 2014 Moose Jaw Gun Show

Where: Moose Jaw Exhibition Convention Centre

When: Doors open at 10 a.m.

What: Basic camera course with Dwayne Senft. It will be for beginners and novices and will teach the basics.

Where: 1420 Athabasca St. E.

What: Rib and Caesar fundraiser for Shane Pretty, who is waiting for a heart transplant in Edmonton.

Where: The Crushed Can (Champs)

What: Moose Jaw Thunder Creek Model Railroad Club annual Model Train Show

Where: Western Development Museum

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What: Basic camera course with Dwayne Senft. It will talk about lighting and there will be two models for portrait shooting.

Where: 1420 Athabasca St. E.

What: Free turf time featuring toys, bouncy castles and space to run or play a favourite game. Watch for special guests, speakers and programs taking place the last Sunday of every month.
