What: Mini canasta tournament

Where: Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre

When: 1 p.m. Cost is $5 including snacks and prizes.

What: Free swims

Where: Kinsmen Sportsplex.

When: Family and lap swim 6-7:15 p.m.; public swim, 7:30-9:15.; teen swim for youth aged 12 to 18, 9:30-11:30 p.m.

What: RuBarb Jr. Productions presents Disney’s Cinderella Kids and Other Hits from the Magical Kingdom

Where: Mae Wilson Theatre

What: Lawn bowling for all ages until freeze-up in the fall.

Saturday

What: Wakamow Aboriginal Community Association presents Empowering Our Youth, Strengthening our Community, the third annual traditional powwow. The host drum is the Pasqua Youth Drum Group. Bring lawn chairs but no pets. Admission is free.

Where: Kiwanis River Park at the skating oval, 305 River Dr.

When: All day. 9 a.m. pipe ceremony; noon and 6 p.m. grand entry

What: Maxi bridge tournament

Where: Cosmo Senior Citizens Centre

When: 10 a.m. Cost is $12.50 or two for $25, including lunch and prizes.

What: Heritage Day and Country Cruisin’. There will be demonstrations of rope making, soap making, butter churning, quilting, blacksmithing, old time music and cowboy poetry. There will be concession for ice cream, homemade pie and beverages. Tours will be available of the museum and Brier Rose Cultural Centre. Bring tractors, classics and antiques for Country Cruisin’. Period dressing for the day is encouraged.

Where: Briercrest and District Museum

When: 10 a.m.; catered roast beef supper at 5 p.m. For more information on Country Cruisin, contact Merv Gadd at 306-631-7932. For the supper, cost is $20 for adults, $10 for ages five to 12 and four and under are free. What: Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3395 Ladies’ Auxiliary will host a flea market and garage sale. Proceeds from the penny parade will go to Heartland Hospice.

What: Father’s Day pancake breakfast

Where: Tuxford Community Hall

When: Morning. It is all you can eat for $6.

What: Father’s Day barbecue and car show. It will feature hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans and corn on the cob. There will be a classic car show and shine to follow.

Where: Revera - The Bentley

When: Noon to 3:30 p.m. For more information, call 306-692-7161.

What: Free turf time featuring toys, bouncy castles and space to run or play a favourite game. Watch for special guests, speakers and programs taking place the last Sunday of every month.

Where: YaraCentre

When: 6-8 p.m.
