Moose Jaw Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 59 is once again holding a New Year’s Eve dinner and dance. 

    Dinner will be catered by Charlotte’s Catering and music will be provided by Harry Startup. Tickets purchased by Dec. 19 will be $30 each, after which they will be $40 each. Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing at 8:30 p.m.

    Cribbage is played Tuesday afternoons. Recent winners are as follows:

    Nov. 24

    Ron Johnson and Karl Dutchak, first; Norm Peterson and Rudy Friesen, second; Joyce Cameron and Dallys Leduc, third. 

    Dec. 1

    Audrey Damour and Evelyn Frey, first; Vicki Endicott and Seymour Harper, second; Barry Sharpe and Mike Hebert, third.

    This Friday night’s supper will be lasagne, ham and potatoes plus sweet and sour meatballs. Meals are served at 5:30 p.m. in the lounge for members and guests.

    This month’s general meeting will be held Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

    The meat draw for Dec. 19 will have five turkey draws in addition to the normal draws. The end of the month draw will be held Dec. 26. Meat draws being at 3 p.m. in the lounge.
