Children of all ages will be able to experience art in new ways and find out more about the artists themselves with the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery’s summer art and culture camp.

The season kicks off with A Taste of Summer on July 1 from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. during ParkArt, which is for children of all ages.

The week-long camps then begin on July 4 and there are a wide variety to choose from for all different age groups.

Summer student Amber Parker, who is coordinating the program, said the aim is to expose kids at as early an age as possible to culture and art.

“We will look at artists and artistic movements so it is not just arts and crafts. It’s teaching kids elements of art, which they can go on to use in their own ways as they get older.

“We do some crafts but each day has a theme with an artist or movement behind it.”
