There’s just three days left until the Moose Jaw Humane Society’s first concert fundraiser at the Mae Wilson theatre.
Woofstock — the Uncoolas Hit Revenue concert will hit the stage on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. to raise money for the shelter’s daily operations.
“In addition to planning the concert event, we’ve been busy mopping up all the paw prints from our furry Paw-cassos and are excitedly counting down until their pet art will be displayed at Woofstock,” Karla Pratt, the shelter’s fundraising and promotions coordinator, said.
“Several shelter dogs, cats and kittens took part recently in some messy but fun canvass painting that included their paws, tails and hair. Each piece of one-of-a-kind art will be displayed at the Mae Wilson the evening of the concert and will be sold by silent auction.”
Pratt said there will also be lots of shelter merchandise for sale, including t-shirts, hats, tank tops, window clings and license plate holders.
The aim is to raise money for the shelter’s daily operations.
Tickets for the concert cost $25 and are on sale at the shelter or at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre box office.
