At the city council meeting Monday night, the youth advisory committee presented its final report for 2008-09.
The report was presented by the committee's chairwoman Danica Kindrachuk and the committee's facilitator Bob Symenuk.
The report stated the committee's priority issues were recycling and the environment, activities for youth, promoting a cleaner city and awareness of the youth advisory committee in schools.
Kindrachuk said the committee did an environmental survey that was sent out to a number of local businesses and restaurants to determine what kind of environmental standards the businesses were using.
However, after only receiving five of the surveys back, Kindrachuk said the committee came to the conclusion that some of the businesses around the city may be hiding their environmental practices for a reason.
