While the calendar says it's summer, many are wondering if the weather will get better before it gets worse.
Dan Kulak, Environment Canada meteorologist, said yes it will.
Kulak said by Thursday Moose Jaw should see a break from the rain and wake up to find the sun shining through what clouds are left.
He said today will be cooler. However as the day progresses the wind will go down and the temperature will begin to rise.
Although the forecast for Saturday and Sunday has changed slightly since Monday, Kulak said Moose Javians can still plan on putting on sun screen because Sunday should be sunny with a high of 30 C.
Kulak explained the reason Saskatchewan has been experiencing what seems like cooler temperatures this year is the result of an upper low system.
He said June is usually when the province experiences this type of system, however it is not uncommon for it to happen in July, adding the weather Moose Javians are currently experiencing is quite normal.
Kulak said what is abnormal is the drought the province has been experiencing this summer.
"Finally, the province is getting some much-needed moisture, especially in the western part of the province."
As for whether summer is on its way or if it just decided to skip Saskatchewan altogether, Kulak said unfortunately if it doesn't show up in the next two weeks, Saskatchewanians may not get the heat they were hoping for.
In two weeks Kulak said the province will be hitting its heat peak and after that the temperature usually begins to drop back down.
He said having had the summer the prairies have had, it is almost at the point where people should if this is late spring or early fall?
At this time, Kulak said all he can do is let people know there are two warm days heading our way.
