Tea, finger sandwiches, dainties and ladies' fashion - there was something for everyone who attended the Colours of Spring tea and fashion show at First Baptist Church in Moose Jaw on Saturday.
"This is the perfect outfit. You can go anywhere you want," fashion show commentator Marlene Parr said to the 70 women in attendance as one of the models showed off a wardrobe item from Gingerbread Square.
Moose Jaw's Janice Stevens modelled a navy coloured suit by CafÉ au Lait, posing for the cameras as she entered and exited the tea room.
"It is a lot of fun," she told the Times-Herald. She said the secret to modelling at a fashion show is smiling big for the crowd and going to the hairdresser immediately beforehand.
However, the fashion show wasn't all about fun. The church's Ladies Time Out Committee was fundraising for pastors in Indonesia. The project is part of the Canadian Baptist Ministries.
In total, event hostess and co-organizer Bev Rousell said the church group managed to raise almost $500 at the event. She was appreciative of those women in attendance.
