Purple teeth will again be the rage Saturday as the community of Mortlach celebrates its second annual Saskatoon Berry Festival.
The day's activities will begin with a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m., arts and crafts and food vendors open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Antique Roadshow with Verne Reese from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., burrowing owl display from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., parade at 11 a.m., opening ceremonies from noon to 1 p.m., children's play park with a magician and pony rides from 1 to 5 p.m., medieval encampment and demonstrations from 1 to 7 p.m., horsemanship events from 1 to 4 p.m., a film on the life of Casey Jones from 1 to 6 p.m., SPIN farming demonstrations from 2 to 4 p.m., refreshment tent open from 3 to 10 p.m., and the movie, Monsters Versus Aliens from 7 to 9 p.m.
The entertainment stage will feature musical presentations from 1 to 10 p.m. with performances by Megan Nash, Andrew Bugiera, Andrea Ramiola, Scott Cook, Canary Mine, The Heartstrings, Mark Ceaser and Kirby Criddle.
Saskatoon berry pie and ice cream will be sold from 1 to 7 p.m.
Haywagon rides and a display of antique machinery will also be part of the festival.
Tickets for the festival will be available at the gate.
