MOOSOMIN, Sask. - A man is dead after an accident at a pipeline pumping station in Saskatchewan.

RCMP say the 23-year-old contract worker died Wednesday at a TransCanada site northeast of Moosomin.

Neither the man's name nor details surrounding the cause of the accident have been released.

The death is the second workplace fatality in Saskatchewan in a week and the 14th in the province so far this year.

Occupational Health and Safety in Saskatchewan says the five-year average for workplace deaths is 22.

But OHS executive director Glennis Bihun says no one will be satisfied until no one dies on the job.
