At approximately 12 a.m. on Saturday, Moose Jaw Police Service attempted to stop a pickup truck in the area of Main Street North and Thatcher Drive. The driver of the vehicle allegedly failed to stop for police and fled northbound on Main Street North.
A short time later, the truck was involved in a two-vehicle collision at the Thatcher Drive and Main Street North intersection, after the truck collided with another vehicle travelling westbound through the intersection. The collision caused the truck to lose control and roll into the centre ditch of the 1600 block of Main Street North.
The driver fled the scene on foot. Police apprehended the individual a short distance from the crash, following an extensive search.
Police charged an 18-year-old male with driving while impaired, driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 80 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood, failing to remain at the scene of an accident and flight from police.
There were no injuries resulting from the incident, but damages are estimated at $25,000.

Police are warning homeowners to lock their front doors when outside working or relaxing in the backyard. Two homes were reported entered Sunday while the owners were in the backyard. One was on the 200 block of Home Street West while the other was on the 400 block of Home Street West. Items were stolen from the homes in both cases.
A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street North and Manitoba Street resulted in about $20,000 damage Sunday around 6 p.m. No injuries were reported.
