Kelowna man dies after hitching ride on side of friend's vehicle on skateboard

KELOWNA, B.C. - A 21-year-old Kelowna man has died after falling from his skateboard while being pulled by a friend's vehicle.

RCMP say the young man was hanging onto the passenger door when he apparently slipped and was hit by the vehicle Thursday night.

He suffered substantial upper body and head injuries and died in hospital.

The police are still investigating but his parents say their son's untimely death should be a message to others to consider the consequences of dangerous activities.
