My sympathy to the remaining family and father of this child. The people in the van in my opinion should be charged with negligence causing death or manslaughter, the same as drinking and driving. the neglecting to strap a toddler in a approved car seat is equally as unintelligent and deserves criminal prosecution. There is no excuse. We are responsible for children and the failure to use car seats and seat belts with children is child endangerment in my opinion.

How sad to see the above comments..this is not a race issue..it's an issue where people neglected to buckle up..and a life was lost.
I feel so sorry for the family..and my condolences to them...

Why is it when something tragic happens, people have to get on here and point fingers? How do you think the family feels when they read, They just paid the ultimate punishment ? They're dealing with enough right now. Quit being so insensitive, there's plenty of that around......

Travelling across the country and not having the child in a car seat is just plain stupid. Not having the child in a car seat ANY time while driving is stupid. They just paid the ultimate punishment.
