As young Moose Javians prepare to go back to school, the Times-Herald is preparing to deliver the supplies they need to make it a great school year.
Glenn Haug of the Times-Herald said the newspaper is in its final days of collecting supplies for the local school.
The Times-Herald, along with the help of Staples Business Depot, has been collecting notebooks, crayons, pens, pencils and other items for students and parents who may not have the means to purchase the supplies on their own.
"The collection went great. It couldn't have gone better," Haug said.
The unofficial deadline for the collection is Friday, but if people are unable to get their donations in by that time, they can continue to drop them off at the Times-Herald and Haug will make sure they get to the school boards.
"This doesn't mean stop giving. If it comes in a little later, that's fine. We will continue to take supplies as long as supplies keep coming in."
Haug said the participation and generosity shown by the people of Moose Jaw has once again blown him away.
