The Moose Jaw Western Development Museum (WDM) parking lot was taken over Friday afternoon by a number of fine-looking vehicles.
This year marked the 48th year of the International Antique Auto Meet.
President of the Antique Auto Association of Regina, Doug Keith, said each year one of the 10 clubs involved in the meet hosts the event, and this year it was his club's turn.
He said because of Moose Jaw's great hospitality, many attractions and the fact that the meet has never been to the Friendly City before, he thought it was the perfect spot to host the 48th annual event.
"We always have a lot of fun in Moose Jaw and we were sure all of those who registered this year would too."
Keith said there were 157 antique vehicles registered for the event from across North America.
"We have people here from Manitoba, Alberta, Montana, Washington, Oregon and Saskatchewan."
Russ Stout, a member of the Regina club, said he thinks this year's meet has been great thus far.
He said having the opportunity to meet and interact with a group of people who share his passion is always a great time.
"I think the best part about events like this is just the camaraderie. Oh, and trading vehicle parts. That really is a big part of these meets."
Stout said it is also fun to go around and talk to people who are visiting the meet for the first.
He said that is when you hear all the good stories.
"I always get people saying, 'I remember when I was younger I had a car just like that one.' Those really are the great stories."
Stout said the bond between people and their cars is just like the ones between people and sports or people and any hobby.
"Some people like baseball, some like planes and some like cars. We are car people."
He said there is nothing that can compare to the first time he was able to purchase his first classic.
"When I was growing up I never had a lot of money, and I always wanted a classy car, so when I could finally afford it, I bought it."
Shirley Stenko, the visitor services officer at the WDM, said she is extremely excited to have people attending the auto meet show vehicles at the museum this year.
"It is wonderful - anything that brings the community together is always a good thing."
Once those visiting the auto meet were done taking in the look, history and stories of the antique cars, they could go inside and visit all of the other historic forms of transportation found inside the museum.
There will be a second showing of vehicles at the antique auto meet on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Langdon Crescent.
